W.E. stands for Workenesh Ethiopia, paying homage to the matriarch of the family, Workenesh, and where we come from. Workenesh means “you are gold”, we couldn’t have found a better name than that.  gold is a generous and giving, compassionate, loving, and the benefactor or patron. We believe that’s what Workenesh represented and what we hope our business’ value upholds.

We sell all types imported Ethiopian and Eriterian spices and good in hopes of sharing our culture with the Fillmore District family and community.
